Fitter Welder

The role of a Fitter / Welder is to undertake the fabrication process from the Clients job instructions and deliver a level of accuracy and efficiency that maintains excellent quality and increase Energyworks workplace value in the industry.

The process of fabrication in the workshop involves the fit up and assembly of pipe spooling and associated equipment using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment. You may at times be involved in hydrostatic testing on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality and conformance to design specifications prior to dispatch.

Your time may be shared equally between working in the workshop and regularly attending a variety of client's sites through Taranaki, elsewhere in New Zealand and Australia to assist in the installation and or repair of the equipment that we have fabricated and assist on scheduled maintenance and shutdown project work. The work is always varied, interesting and in challenging environments that provide a positive challenge every day.
